Hello! My name is Rachel Wilson. This school year marks 22 years of teaching. I graduated from Miles College (Birmingham, Alabama) with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have had the experience of teaching first, second, third, and fourth grade. However, the majority of my teaching experience was teaching second grade. A poem given to me by a former student ended with this line: "Why God created teachers in His wisdom and His grace, was to help us learn to make our world a better, wiser place." 

As your child's second-grade teacher, I would like to welcome you to another exciting year of learning! Learning is the key to success. Therefore, my goal is to ensure that your child reach his or her full academic potential in second grade. As we all know that it takes a village to raise a child, I encourage you to join me as we embark on this wonderful year of teaching and learning.
